What is Lush?

Lush is the name of an internet based, open source project initiated to create fully featured and modular game engines for the Nintendo Colour Gameboy.

Although the code has been written specifically for the Colour Gameboy, obviously the logic routines can be adapted by coders for use on the Mono Gameboy. The Lush projects do not provide code yet for the Mono Gameboy, but they will do in the future.

The reason for this is simple. With the release of the Colour Gameboy, publishers and coders are all embracing its new features. Therefore it makes sense that a project such as Lush should also embrace the new hardware.

The projects will cover games like platformers, card games, role playing games, puzzle games, strategy games, in fact, as many different games that we can think of.

Don't expect these all to arrive at once though. Each project takes time to develop, and as such, it is likely that only one or two projects will be in full scale development at any one time.
