Tweaking Joints

Tweak joints using the Joint Editor palette. Most body parts allow you to individually adjust several joint parameters:

Select the parameter to edit using the menu at the top of the Joint Editor. This changes both the handles visible in the Document window and the available parameters in the Joint Editor palette. Remember that joint bending only occurs between an object and its parent. Bends do not progress to other children or above the parent in the hierarchy. Create your groups and tweak your joint zones with care to ensure proper articulation.

If you have body parts that are symmetrical left to right and are named starting with "l" for left side body parts and "r" for right side body parts, you can automatically copy joint zones using one of the Symmetry commands located in the Figure menu. You may only need to tweak some of your figure's joints.
