Alternate Diffuse Nodes

You can use the root node's Alternate_Diffuse input to plug in alternate methods of computing surface lighting. If you do this, you will usually want to lower the standard Diffuse_Color and Diffuse_Value attributes to nearly black (zero) so that the alternative diffuse lighting node will be responsible for most of the diffuse lighting effect.

Available alternate diffuse lighting nodes include velvet, skin, toon, and clay.

The Alternate_Diffuse attribute's net effect is affected by the root node's transparency settings.
