THIS IS MY ALL TIME FAV...BEEN PLAYING IT FOR 15 YEARS! Called "The Sentinel" in England, "The Sentry" in the states (name had already been used), written by Geoff Crammond ("F1 Formula One-World Circuit") Quick overview: You are a robot in a 3D landscape of trees and 'the Sentry' . Your goal is to climb high enough in the landscape to see the land that the Sentry is standing on and thus 'absorb' him. The Sentry sometimes has helpers, Landgazers, that you can also absorb. But you cannot be seen by the Sentry or Landgazers or they will absorb you, energy point by energy point, until you are nothing (hyperspace or transfer quick if you have the energy points). To move: First turning on your 'sights'. Move the sights to any land tile that you can see. Create a 'robot', then 'tranfer'. Creating the new robot used 3 points. Once transferred you will be looking at you old robot. 'Aborb' it for energy points. Also absorb any tree or block you can. To elevate: Create a block. Then, place your 'sights' on the side of the block and create a robot. You can also place a block on another block. Scanner: You have a small scanner on the bottom of the screen. If you and the tile you are standing on can be seen the scanner fills completely. MOVE. If only you can be seen then the scanner half fills and the the Sentry creates a 'Meanie' near you. The Meanie will force you off the tile. MOVE. To Win: Absorb the Sentry, then 'hyperspace'. You have conquered 1 landcape in 10,000. Notes: Watch the direction the Sentry is turning, then plan your moves. ...................................
