Cliff Hanger

2010 Blu-ray Remaster by DEX77.

(SD 640x480 version)

This remaster is a recreation of the "Cliff Hanger" laserdisc using Full HD sources
from the Japanese Bluray discs of Lupin III "The Secret of Mamo" and "The Castle of 
Cagliostro" which i own the original copies.


This restoration is for the true purists.  It's a match frame for frame and 
field for field with the original laserdisc capture.
It's as close to an exact replica of the laserdisc as you can get... 


It is presented here in three formats, depending on your needs:

        640x480_30i - Exact replica of the laserdisc 30 frames (60 fields) per 
        second interlaced.  Use this one if you are playing Cliff Hanger on an 
        arcade monitor or TV.

        640x480_24p - For the first time ever, Cliff Hanger can be played in 24 
        frames per second progressive.  This is the way the animation was drawn 
        in the first place, and is the ideal way to play it on the PC.

        640x480_24p_letterbox - 24 FPS progressive and now in 16x9 widescreen 
        (letterboxed).

Frame files, cliff24P.txt, Cliff24P_Letterbox.txt and Cliff30i.txt, are included
and will need to be modified depending on which mpeg you want to use and where 
you have Daphne installed.



Here are some sample command lines for Daphne:

        daphne cliff vldp -noserversend
         - Plays Cliff Hanger in a 640x480 window.

        daphne cliff vldp -fullscreen -x 1680 -y 1050 -opengl -noserversend
         - Plays Cliff Hanger fullscreen on a widescreen (1680x1050) monitor 
           pillarboxed (black bars on the sides).  '-opengl' is only necessary 
           if your mpeg is not 640x480.

        daphne cliff vldp -fullscreen -vertical_stretch 24 -noserversend
         - Plays Cliff Hanger fullscreen and zoomed to fit a 16x9 widescreen 
           monitor.
