These executables are to be used with Nanotechs PinballWizard Controller. (http://www.nanotechent.com) ----------------------------- Caution: VP8 and VP9 are different and so are the Tables made for them! Therefore it is not recommended to run VP8 Tables in VP9 and vice-versa! For now it is probably a good idea to make a separate directory for VP9 and all files it is associated with. The Visual Install Pack might support such a 'dual-setup' in a future version, depending on the demand. The default version installed by the Visual Install Pack is 8.1 (last build by Randy Davis) because thats what 99.9% of all existing Tables have been made for. You should not run into any trouble with this executable unless a table has been specifically made (or been upgraded for) VP9. Use VP9 at your own risk, and i recommend to do so only if you know how to fix your installation in case something gets messed up! (Very likely to happen from what i have heard!) Use NanoTechs VP8 (VPinball_8.1693_NanoTech.exe) only if you have a Nanotech PinballWizard Controller. NOTE: ----- You dont have to rename the NanoTech executables to use them, they will work no matter their filename. The only thing you should be aware of is that the .vpt file association (which means the Table files) is/are tied to 'VPinball.exe', which means if you intend to make any of the NanoTech executables your 'default' VPinball version, (i.e. Cabinet Builders), it is probably a good idea to rename the existing VPinball.exe to something else and copy your version of choice into the 'Pinball' folder and give IT the name VPinball.exe.
