-=> BASIC USAGE OF TABLES AND ROMS <=- -------------------------------------- 1.) Put Your Downloaded Tables Into The 'Tables' Folder. (See Below For Details) 2.) Put Your Downloaded ROMs Into The 'ROMs' folder. (See Below For Details) 3.) Start VP To Play A Table. (See Below For Details) WHERE TO DOWNLOAD TABLES AND ROMS: ---------------------------------- Here Are Three Great Sites: ------------------------- 1.) www.vpforums.com 2.) www.pinballnirvana.com 3.) www.ipdb.com VPForums Has ROMs And *VPM Tables Only. PinballNirvana Has No Roms, But *VPM And *VP Tables. IPDB Is A Database And Has No Tables, But Only ROMs And Screenshots. To Find A Rom For A Particular Machine Just Enter Its Name On The Site. (*VPM Table = Real Existing Table Using ROMs = Original Rules&Scoring, etc.) (*VP Table = Real Or Fantasy Table NOT Using ROMs = Custom Rules&Scoring, etc.) USAGE Of DOWNLOADED TABLES: --------------------------- 1.) IMPORTANT: UnZIP The Table.zip Into A Folder On Your DESKTOP First! 2.) Then Put ONLY The File With A '.vpt' Extension Into The 'Tables' Folder. (File With A '.vpt' Extension = The Table) NOTE: If There Is A File With A '.VPS' (NOT VBS!) Extension In The ZIP Then Move It Into The "Tables" Folder As Well. These Are Some Kind Of 'Helper-Files' For Some Tables And Are Needed As Well. CAUTION: -------- Do NOT Mess With The VBS Files In The 'Tables' Folder And Do Also NEVER UnZIP An ENTIRE Table.zip Into The 'Tables' Folder! Doing This Might Result In Overwriting A New VBS With An Older One By Accident, Which Again Might Result In Some Tables Not Working Anymore! The Problem Is That Many Table.zips Are Containing An Ancient Version Of The Needed VBS, Which Might Work With This Particular Table, But Break All Newer Ones Which DEPEND On The Enhancements! You Have Been Warned! USAGE OF DOWNLOADED ROMS: ------------------------- 1.) ROMs Are Always Coming As ZIP Files When You Download Them. Leave Them That Way And Just Put The ZIPs Into The 'ROMs' Folder. No Further Action Is Required. Do NEVER UnZIP ROMs! PLAYING TABLES: --------------- To Play A Table Start The VP Editor With The Shortcut On Your Desktop And Select 'OPEN' From The Tab-Menu At The Top. Choose A Table And It Loads Into The Editor. After It Has Loaded Into The Editor Press 'PLAY' On The Left And The Table Will Load For Play. To Set VP To Fullscreen Select 'Preferences -> Video Options' And Set VP To Whatever Fullscreen Resolution You Want. To Insert Coins Use 3, 4 or 5 (Not NumPad!) To Start A One Player Game Press 1 Once. To Start A Two Player Game Press 1 Twice, etc. For Further Questions About Tables And/Or ROMs Visit www.vpforums.com or www.pinballnirvana.com And Just Ask.
